Who We Are

The Wood Planet mobile application (the "App") — a platform designed to manage sales, orders, and field operations, available on Android and iOS. Registered address: 7-8, Z.K. Estate, Next to Mizan Kanta, Piplaj - Pirana Road, Piplaj, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 382315.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

Information and Permissions We Collect

We request permissions only when needed and only for specific features.

Camera and photo library: used for product images, profile pictures, and barcode/QR scanning. Permission is requested before use. Supported image formats are JPEG, JPG, PNG, and WebP (max 5MB). Barcode scanning is processed entirely on-device, and no images or video frames are stored during scanning.

Location: used only for attendance punch-in and punch-out. It is accessed only when you tap the attendance button — never tracked in the background or continuously monitored.

Microphone: used for voice notes for orders and leads. Permission is requested before recording, recording starts and stops only with your action, and there is no background or passive listening.

Push notifications: we request notification permission and a device token to deliver real-time updates such as orders, leads, and business events. No sensitive personal data is included in notifications.

File storage: used for PDFs (order documents), CSV exports, and cached catalogue images. Storage permission is requested only when required, and cached data contains no personal information.

Clipboard and sharing: the clipboard is accessed only during paste actions, clipboard data is never stored or transmitted, and sharing uses your device's native share sheet.

Network information: used to detect Wi-Fi, mobile data, or offline status. No personal data is collected.

Data Stored on Your Device

Local storage keeps your auth token, profile, device ID, and settings in encrypted form. The SQLite cache stores product and catalogue data only, which is non-personal and unencrypted.

You can clear all local data by uninstalling the app.

Why We Need Your Information

We use your data to authenticate and manage your account, enable orders, leads, and inventory features, record attendance using location (on action only), upload images and voice notes, send notifications, enable chat, generate reports (PDF/CSV), improve app performance and fix bugs, and comply with legal obligations.

We do NOT use data for advertising, profiling, or selling data.

Third-Party Services and SDKs

The App relies on Firebase for notifications and chat, and Capacitor plugins for device features. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies.

Data Retention

Attendance data is retained during employment. Chat and voice notes are tied to the lifecycle of the related orders and leads. Images are retained while the associated data exists. Device cache and notification tokens are cleared or removed when the app is uninstalled.

You may request deletion at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures: HTTPS/TLS encryption in transit, secure storage of sensitive data on device, role-based access controls, and secure authentication mechanisms.

Your Rights

You can access your data, correct inaccurate data, request deletion, request a data export, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw permissions at any time.

Account deletion: you can request account deletion by contacting us at connect.woodplanet@gmail.com. We will process your request within applicable legal timelines.

Children's Privacy

This app is intended for business use only and not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children's data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date and may be notified in-app.
